CeCe's career began when she and her brother BeBe were chosen to be a part of the tv show, "The PTL Club" (now known as "Praise The Lord"). BeBe and CeCe Winans left PTL after five years to pursue a singing career together. After recording many successful albums together, they decided to pursue solo careers in 1995. CeCe began her solo career with the release of the gospel song "Alone in His Presence", which garnered her a gold certification, a Grammy Award, and two Dove Awards. She also received Female Vocalist of the Year during this time.
BeBe and CeCe Winans Release New Gospel Music
BeBe and CeCe Winans released their first gospel music CD together in fifteen years on October 6, 2009. The new album is entitled Still and is doing very well on the Billboard Charts. The gospel songs "Close To You", "Grace", and "Never Thought" are being received well by gospel music fans.
CeCe lives in Tennessee with her husband Alvin Love Jr and their two children, Ashley and Alvin III.
